Crave Real Burgers

I've now been to Crave Real Burgers, at their Academy Blvd location, 3 times. Each time it has never failed to be a great experience. If you're looking for a great burger with an interesting twist, this is hands down the place to go. Their menu includes 18 burgers, 16 sandwiches, which are often a version of a burger offered just without the burger patty, salads,  milkshakes and fries. The service is great. We went on a busy Saturday night and were seated quickly and received our food quickly as well. The place is casual with lots of space if you bring along the kids. However, the kids menu isn't very impressive.  The prices are comperable with Red Robin, most burgers are about $10.
This is the "Luther". It comes with bacon, cheddar, egg and onion with 2 LaMar’s glazed donuts as the bun. It's kind of a breakfast burger. It was good in that it was sweet with savory. The donuts are a bit much. You really need to like donuts to be able to eat them both. Joe ordered this one and his suggestion was to add some kind of sauce to it or order the egg runny.
I ordered one of the two specials they had going. They usually have at least one burger not on the menu. This one had venison sausage and the burger was buffalo meat. It was tasty. The fries are yummy. I've also had the sweet potato fries. You can also get the fries 'smothered' a few different ways. I haven't have them yet.
The milkshakes are awesome. Do get one with your meal. The size shown here is split between Joe and I. A lot of the milkshakes are made with praline ice cream. It's good. There are real pecans in it. All of the ingredients are fresh in the milkshake. Like in the one above there's fresh banana, not just as the garnish, but mixed in the shake.
